Location and Surroundings: Nestled in a stand of cedars, this quiet, secluded Lodge is located in Yahk, BC, about 300 meters off the Crow’s Nest Highway (Route 3/95).

The Lodge is only 15 km away from Idaho at the Kingsgate/Eastport Crossing, and is 40km from Creston and 70km from Cranbrook.

The Lodge and the Lot: The Lodge was completely refurbished in 2008, and has had light and gentle use since then. The front veranda and back deck are newly painted, the doors are re-insulated, and all necessary repairs and cleaning are finished.

With two (2) bathrooms, three (3) bedrooms and an expansive loft, it can sleep six or more adults.

The kitchen is long & large, and comes with lots of cabinets and counter space, as well as a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, double sink, and gas range.

The huge loft overlooks the Living Room, which has a +20 foot vaulted ceiling. The tongue & groove pine paneling of the Living Room, combined with a wood-burning stove, creates a warm and cozy feel.

The Lodge is especially well-insulated. It provides an incredibly cool retreat even on the hottest summer days, while during the winter it locks in the warmth of the wood burning stove as well as the gas heating system.

Water is provided by an on-site well, coupled with a two-filter water purification system.

The fastest internet in the area (1 Mb/s) is readily available through the Yahk Area Communications Society, and the CPE is already installed and waiting for reconnection.

The lot is about 1.88 acres and has a seasonal creek running through it. One footbridge provides access to Cranbrook Street marking one side of the property, while another footbridge crosses over to a small picnic area on the grounds.

About half the lot has been cleared for the Lodge, while the other half is forest. There is plenty of room for more than one RV to set up.

There are two sheds with electrical power, either or both of which can be used for shops. Between the sheds is an “ATV port” or storage area with a lockable gate. A large wood enclosure can be used as a carport or to store a year’s supply of firewood.

There is also a 50-foot fenced dog run with three houses.

The front veranda, the back deck, and the rustic fire pit next to the creek all provide a perfect place to relax in a tranquil and comfortable setting on the edge of BC wilderness.
