This remote British Columbian lakefront wilderness lodge is perfect as a fishing retreat, B&B, floatplane outpost or family sanctuary. The main building and four cozy cabins are placed on low bank lakefront. Babine Lake is known for trophy wild Rainbow Trout and Sockeye salmon. The fishing is excellent and the wildlife viewing is utterly spectacular. Ookpik Wilderness Lodge is placed on 7.63 acres with 900+ feet lakefront property. It is the only deeded property on Morrison Arm, Babine Lake. On the north side of property, Ookpik Cove provides ample sheltered moorage for owners and guests. This protected cove also provides a perfect mooring for floatplanes. The lodge is nestled in a remote wilderness setting, without services. Electricity is provided on-site using a diesel generator. Internet and telephone service is via a satellite connection. Buildings and structures on the property include a main lodge building, four cabins and outbuildings, including a gas house, wood shed, generator house, shop, outhouses, footbridge and docks. The main lodge and cabins are log construction. The main lodge features a large living room, formal dining room, kitchen and breakfast dining area, pantry, guest bedroom and bathroom and owner/manager’s large master bedroom including ensuite bathroom. Space heat is provided by the fireplace and wood stoves. Hot water is provided on-demand by a propane flow-through hot water heater. |
